Businessman Bee Taechaubol’s recent partial acquisition of AC Milan, which he now shares with Silvio Berlosconi, made global headlines and bestowed him with overnight celebrity. His business successes over the past decade are just as notable, purchasing and revamping companies from a stock brokerage to a mobile phone distributor. Most recently he launched the Global League Series in Thailand, signing top retired footballers to play in a tournament and train the coaches of the GLS Football Academy. Taechaubol has finalized a deal with the Chinese government, who have committed to enrolling 200 million students over the next eight years, effectively creating the largest football academy in the world. As CEO of Thai Prime, Taechaubol sees his empire going global and foresees the acquisition of not only football teams but also prime real estate and landmarks.
